Quality work and design ethics, built to last.

Day 0: the old patio slab broken out, rubble stacked on bare dirt under the covered patio Day 3: the same patio graded flat, base compacted and timber forms set Day 4: the finished patio, smooth grey slab with a dark banded border

Station 01 / the mix

Ninety minutes from batch to placement.

Nine to ten yards in the drum, turning the whole way out. From batch to placement you get about ninety minutes, and that window does not move for anybody. Everything we do before the truck arrives is about being ready for it.

Station 02 / the placement

Forms, base and steel go in before the truck is booked.

A driveway is fifteen to twenty-five yards depending on the run. We grade it, compact the base, set the forms and tie the steel before the truck is booked, because once it is turning in the yard there is no slowing it back down.

What we pour.

Structural and decorative, one crew, one number to call.

Poured, finished, walked away from.

Questions we get on every estimate.

How long before I can drive on it?

Walk on it after 24 hours. Cars after 7 days. Anything heavy, a truck or an RV, give it the full 28 days. Concrete keeps gaining strength for a month and most of the cracking we get called out to fix is somebody parking on a 10-day slab.

Will it crack?

Every slab cracks. The job is deciding where. We cut control joints so it cracks in a straight line you cannot see instead of across the middle. Base prep and correct joint spacing are most of that work, and they happen before any concrete arrives.

What does a driveway cost?

It is priced by the yard and the finish. A typical residential drive runs 15 to 25 cubic yards. Broom finish is the base price, exposed aggregate is a step up, stamped with colour is the top. Removal of the old slab, grading and any drainage are separate lines so you can see what you are paying for. Estimates are free.

Do you take the old driveway away?

Yes. Demolition, dirt removal and haul-away are ours, and we run our own Bobcat, so you are not coordinating a second contractor.

Do I need drainage?

Often, and it is the thing people skip. If the slab sends water at the house instead of away from it you have bought a bigger problem than a cracked driveway. We run drain line where the grade needs it.

How long does the whole job take?

Most residential work is three to five days on site: demo and grade, forms and steel, pour and finish. The pour itself is one morning. After that it is cure time, and cure time is not negotiable.

Tell us the job.

The more of this you fill in, the closer the number is before anyone drives out. Photos help more than anything else, and you can attach them to the email this opens.

A two-car driveway is usually 15 to 25 yards. A guess is fine.
